About
Bank of Ireland needed a new agent portal for Themselves, AA and the Post Office. This project had a large number of user flows and complexed tasks that needed to be easy to manage on a daily basis. I helped direct off-shore UX and UI design for this.
Design Communication
When guiding off shore teams and presenting back to client, good design communication was an essential part of my role. I lead daily catch-ups, working sessions and progress presentations from the start, in order to build strong working relationships.
Design Ops
Managing multiple designers across complicated requirements requires everything is kept tidy, traceable and following clear process.
To help achieve this, I created a Kanban style of page organisation in Figma with story numbers on page titles, ensured thorough flows where created before designs and made sure everything was well annotated.
Having a good understanding of agile practice was also key to keeping everything on track.
Design System
With any multi brand delivery the design system is particularly important. Design Systems are one of my specialisms so I helped the team shape a system that was clearly laid out, utilised variants and was well annotated.
If done again I believe using Figma's newer variable, design token tools would have enhanced this further.
