About
The client was looking for a new health app to educate users around air quality, provide pollution forecasts and manage smart devices in addition to education around general wellness. This project required creating a prototype from scratch, including brand, user journeys, UI and a Design System. I took the lead for the UI and UX behind this.
Learn and Track
This app revolved around two core principles. Firstly it needed to be educational. I designed an academy section for accessing lessons and video content and I built interactive activities such as breathing exercises.
Secondly the app needed to help track air quality. This meant designing flows to add devices inside to track air quality and a map area to show pollution levels outside that could create healthier walking or cycling routes.
Prototype
Everything I designed had to be built into a prototype for testing. One of the most interesting challenges of this project was designing an interactive breathing exercise that could be tested with users.
This involved a higher level of engagement and feedback than many other sections. I solved this be utilising animation and interaction best practices to better engage users.
